To allay visitors’ fears that a trip to Iran may prohibit them from entering the US, Iran stated in June 2019 that foreign tourists will be allowed to enter through its international airports without having their passports stamped. Travelers who visit Iran and six other countries are subject to more scrutiny while seeking to enter the United States, according to a US law approved in 2015. So enjoy travelling your Iran trip, as ” no more Iran stamp passport for tourists”
Iran Stop Stamping on Tourist’s Passport
Iran Authority announced, to reducing travelers’ concerns about the US regulations and sanctions and attracting larger numbers of tourists, will not stamp the tourist’s passport on arrival and departure.
The Visa will be issued on a piece of paper and the entry and exit stamp will be on this piece of paper (not in passport). So your passport directly will not be stamped.
Citizens of 38 countries are eligible to enter the United States without a visa for 90 days under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Visitors from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, for example, must instead register with the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).
United States enforced a new regulation in 2015, which set out new eligibility requirements for travellers who already visited: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Somalia or Yemen, must apply for a US visa at a US Embassy or consulate instead of registering online.
What do Iran Tourists say about that?
Some Europeans after visiting Iran in recent months reported that their passports had not been stamped upon arrival at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport. Matthias Koch, a German citizen who visits Iran on a regular basis, said he was startled to find himself without a stamp on his previous two visits, in late 2018 and early 2019.
” I think it could have a positive aspect for the average tourist, They would feel more secure” Koch said.
Nicolas, the proprietor of a French travel business, claimed he had visited Iran twice in the previous year but that the airport authorities had not stamped his passport since August. He conducts excursions to Iran for French tourists.
Nicolad added: ” I have some tourists that ask me about this, and I tell them that they will have no stamps in their passport, and they say ‘Ok cool “
What does Iran Tourism Statistics say?
Iran says nearly 7.8 million tourists visited the country during the last fiscal year, which ended in March. That figure is a 52% rise compared to the year before.
The tendency growth to explore less-known destinations and immerse in exotic history and civilization of the Middle East, regardless of media propaganda, makes Iran as top destination these years.
