Overview

A mid-range length trip provides you with enough time to get the gist of the main cities you are visiting. Being not too short to be on a hurry, neither not too long to get bored, this 10-day trip gives you the chance to visit central Iran along with an overnight stay in a historical caravanserai on the Silk Road.

Starting from the capital city of Tehran, we will drive towards the city of bitter orange and world-known poets, Shiraz where we will take our domestic flight to get back to Tehran. While on the road, we will visit the historical city of Kashan, Isfahan, the city known as the half of the world by Iranians, and the mud-brick city of Yazd with its famous tall wind-catchers.

One-night accommodation in Zein-o Din Caravanserai on the Silk Road is also a unique experience of this trip, where you will have time to enjoy the starry night sky of the central desert in Iran.

Altogether, we will fit the main cultural and natural highlights of the route-to-be-passed into the tour. Therefore, you will get a fine understanding of the way these kind residents of the country are living, in addition to their ancestors’ lifestyle.

Itinerary

Day 1

Tehran

Upon arrival at the IKA airport, your guide will meet you at the airport and assist you in your transfer to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, you have the opportunity to explore the city afterwards. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Tehran.

Day 2

Tehran

After having the breakfast, the city tour of the capital city of Tehran will start. We will explore the older part of the city in the downtown by visiting the National Museum, the Golestan Palace and Tehran Grand Bazaar. Later in the afternoon and after having lunch in a restaurant in the city center, we will drive to the Carpet Museum of Iran and spend some time of the evening in Ab-o Atash Park to get familiar with the usual evening of Tehrani people. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Tehran.

Day 3

Tehran/Kashan

Checking out of the hotel, we will drive to Kashan in the morning (a distance of about 250 km). Upon arrival in the city we will visit the Fin Garden as an example of a Persian Garden surrounded by a desert. Afterwards, we will go to a restaurant to have our lunch and then start exploring the city’s highlights including Tabatabaei House, Agha Bozorg Mosque and the bazaar. Overnight will be in a lovely traditional hotel in Kashan.

Day 4

Kashan/Isfahan

After having our breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we will drive towards Isfahan (a distance of about 210 km). Arriving in the city we will visit the Vank Cathedral in the Armenian district of Isfahan known as Julfa and then have our lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon we will visit the Chehel Sotoun Palace and Congregational Mosque of Isfahan. We will drive to the hotel and check in to take some rest. Early in the evening and before having dinner, we will have a stroll in the old bridge of Si-o Se Pol. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Isfahan.

Day 5

Isfahan

Half day city tour of Isfahan visiting the Naghsh-e Jahan Square with the attractions it’s surrounded by including Ali Qapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and Imam Mosque. The afternoon will be yours to explore the bazaar and do some shopping or visit any other place you are interested in. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Isfahan.

Day 6

Isfahan/Yazd

We will drive to Yazd (a distance of 325 km) after checking out of hotel, en route visit of Nain and Meybod. Arrive in the city of wind-catchers and visit of Amir Chakhmaq Complex. Check into the hotel and overnight in a 4-star hotel in Yazd.

Day 7

Yazd/Zein-o Din

City tour of Yazd visiting the Towers of Silence, Zoroastrian Fire Temple and Dowlat Abad Garden. Later on, we will drive to the old district of the city (known as Fahadan) to have lunch and pay a visit to the Jame Mosque of Yazd and the old district itself. In the late afternoon, we will drive to Zein-o Din, Caravanserai (about 75 km) to experience a desert accommodation under the starry night. We will have enough time to enjoy the beauty of a desert night.

Day 8

Zein-o Din/Shiraz

After having our breakfast, we will drive to Shiraz (about 495 km) in the late morning, en route visit of the Cypress of Abarkuh and Pasargadae (the tomb of Cyrus the Great). Arrive in Shiraz and check into the hotel. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Shiraz.

Day 9

Shiraz

In the early morning, we will visit the amazing Pink Mosque to have the suitable daylight for taking beautiful photos. Afterwards, we will start our excursion to see Persepolis and Necropolis of Naqsh-e Rustam in a distance of about 60 km in the suburbs of Shiraz. Having our lunch, we will drive back to Shiraz and take a rest. In the late afternoon, we pay a visit to the Vakil complex and the Tomb of Hafiz, well-known Iranian poet. Overnight in 4-star hotel in Shiraz.

Day 10

Shiraz/Tehran

We will start our day by checking out of hotel and visiting the Eram Garden in Shiraz. Before the noon, saying goodbye to the city of kind and easy-going people of Shiraz, you will be transferred to the airport to get on your flight back to Tehran. Arriving at the domestic airport of Tehran, you will be transferred to your hotel in the city. Depending on the time of your international flight, you will have a departure transfer.

Iran tour 10 days

I wish I could extend my Iran holiday more than 10 days as it really worth it. But overall I am satisfied and special thanks to the tour operator to operate our tour as flexible as possible. The tour was private for me and my friend, and considering all expenses during these 10 days the price is reasonble.

We asked our tour guide to change itinerary as we did not want to miss Kalut in Kerman. definitely a true decision and it worth visiting.

Iran Tour

It was a perfect trip! Everything was arranged down to the last detail, from the transportion to nice activities and good food. The hotel is very beautiful. Especially the trip to the Shiraz (Persepolis, Naqshe rostam) was amazing. We had the best guide who made sure that everything was perfect. The 4x4 Jeep was really cool and he cooked delicious food! We slept under the stars in Isfahan desert.

Iran tour package

We took this tour in May 2018 and were overall very pleased with the experience. The hotels were nice and airport pick up and drop off was efficient and on time. We really loved Isfahan and Shiraz. Our hotel Niayesh boutique hotel in Shiraz was lovely while the hotel in Isfahan was very conveniently located. The tours were informative and guides were polite.
