  • 1- What types of credit cards are accepted for hotel booking?

    We accept Discover, American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Paypal account.

  • 2- How can I find my booking confirmation after my online hotel reservation?

    If your hotel was an Exclusive (pre-paid) reservation a voucher will be generated upon payment with your credit card. This voucher will be e-mailed to you and is part of your confirmation page.

  • 3- How can I cancel/change my hotel reservation?

    Many pre-paid hotels are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or changed. There is a cancellation fee of $35 EUR charged by Exotigo com. You may also be subject to penalties and fees from the hotel. Exotigo.com advises you to verify all hotel rules on your pre-paid reservation.

  • 4- When does hotel charge after my reservation?

    If you have reserved an Exclusive (pre-paid) hotel reservation, your credit card will be charged at the time of booking and includes most taxes and fees.

  • 5- What are the general check in and check out times?

    You can find your hotel's check-in and check-out date and phone number in your confirmation email which you get from Exotigo.com. Check-in You will need a government-issued ID to check in. To request an earlier check-in time, you should ask hotel directly upon your arrival. You can check in to most hotels any time between 14:00 PM and midnight. Rooms booked on Exotigo.com are guaranteed for late arrival even after midnight. Check-out You can check out any time before the hotel's check-out time (Usually 12:00 PM) on the last day of your booking. To request a late check-out time, ask your hotel directly. If approved, additional charges may apply. Early check-out Need to end your stay early? You should contact our travel experts in Exotigo.com for assistance.   • 7- What is policies of hotel for cancellation/change?

    All you need for booking cancelation is your booking ID and your email address! Enter the Exotigo website, choose the ‘Manage Booking’ section, and tap ‘Cancel Room’ to proceed with your request. Don’t you see the ‘Cancel Room’ option? The reason is in the following: 1. Your booking does not have online cancelation option 2. You miss the hotel cancelation deadline/your booking is a part of a vacation package 3. You book a non-refundable rate, which cannot be canceled You don’t need to charge cancellation fees for your bookings at Exotigo, but the case may be different for your hotel. Check the Rules and Restrictions in your confirmation email from Exotigo for more details about change or cancelation policies. Want to travel on another date? Don’t cancel your booking. You can do this by changing the time of your booking. Your money is transferred to your bank account in 5-7 business days. Go to the refund processing timelines, and it helps you to make the best decision.

  • 8- Do I need my ID/passport to check in?

    A valid government-issued photo ID is required for your hotel check-in. In Iran, money is not acceptable as an advance deposit, and the hotels keep passports locked away as a deposit. Not a bad idea! The hotel’s front desk is a safe place to keep your passport, and it is not necessary to have a passport everywhere in the city.

  • 1- How can I change a flights I have booked?

    We have negotiated many different types of agreements with different airlines; thus, the rules and restrictions for exchanges and cancellations vary greatly if allowed at all. When allowed, airlines require that we collect a fee for the exchange plus any difference in fare when necessary. We must insist, however, that you do not book an itinerary for the exchange. Please keep in mind that all exchanges must be on itineraries provided by the same airline that issued the original ticket. In some cases, the airline may restrict or deny exchanges requested with as few as seven days before departure. Once you are prepared to give our exchange agent the new itinerary, please contact us: [email protected] or call us at +65- 000-0000. We are open 24/7. To expedite this process, please have your old ticket and/or file number with you as well as the new itinerary you wish to book.

  • 2- How to cancel my reservation?

    Most airline tickets issued are non-refundable, and non-transferable. Name changes are not permitted. However, you may be able to exchange your tickets for different dates. Penalty fees apply and not all tickets are changeable. Please contact us: [email protected] or call us at +65- 000-0000.

  • 3- Should I reconfirm my reservation in Iran before fly?

    After booking a flight via Exotigo.com, you will receive a confirmation email from Exotigo that contains your Exotigo booking number and 6-character airline confirmation code. Review this email to verify that your travel details are correct. Your domestic flight reservations in Iran don’t need for reconfirmation. There is no need to call us or Iranian airlines to reconfirm this reservation.

  • 4- How can I check my flight booking confirmation?

  • 5- What is standard for Iran domestic flights baggage allowance?

    Normally Iranian Airlines let to have one check-in luggage and one cabin luggage with following conditions: Check-in baggage: Our recommendation is that the dimensions of the luggage should not exceed 158 cm or 62 inches in total length + width + height and the maximum weight of each luggage should not exceed 30 kg. Cabin luggage: Our recommendation is that a handbag or small package of 23cm x 40cm x 55cm size with maximum weight of 5 Kg.

  • 6- What are the different types of flight classes and airfare for Iran domestic flights?

    Economy class, first class, and business class are three travel classes for airlines in Iran. There is another letter on your ticket as airfare code that is used to define the rules associate with the type of ticket you buy. These letters is assigned to each ticket according to time of booking, class and indicate that whether you can change or cancel your reservation, etc. For more information check about the regulations on cancellation and refund.

  • 7- What do system ticket and chartered ticket mean for Iran domestic flights?

    There are different usage for scheduled and chartered flights in Iran. The ‘system ticket’, which is fully refundable, is the scheduled flight ticket sold by travel agents. While the chartered ticket, which is less expensive, is usually non-refundable.

  • 8- How safe is Iran's domestic flights?

    The Iran's planes were not renovated due to the decades-long U.S. sanctions. After lifting the sanctions in 2016, Iran signed contracts to buy new jetliners from Boeing, Airbus, and ATR. According to a 2010 assessment by the International Civil Aviation Organization, Iranian airlines performed above the global average across a number of categories. Hence, the Iranian fleet is safe! Boeing, McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series, ATR 72, and Fokker 100 are the main fleet of Iranian airlines today. Besides, the Iran Air, Iran Air tour, Iran Aseman, Mahan Air, Kish Air, and Qeshm Air are now the members of International Air Transport Association (IATA).

  • 9- Fly or drive inside Iran, which is better?

    It totally depends on your destination! The distance between cities and the route are crucial elements in your decision. By choosing flight you save your time and probably you have a comfortable trip. It is also the safest way to travel in Iran. However by choosing flight you don't save money especially in high-season! Besides, you may lose the beautiful road sceneries and cities than situated on your way to your destination. In addition, the airport security measures is strictly observed while you choose flight.

  • 10- What can't you take on a plane in domestic flights of Iran?

    In Iran's airports, the followings items are prohibited for security reasons. You can put many of them in your luggage or give it to the banned item section of the airport in order to save time to go on board. 1) Firearms including all types of military equipment, flare guns, BB guns, compressed air guns, etc. • 1) Guns and firearms: BB guns, firearms, flare guns, compressed air guns, etc. • 2) Sharp objects: knives of any length, razor0type blades, axes and hatchets, bows and arrows, etc. • 3) Toy look-alike, and imitation firearms marking • 4) All explosives: blasting caps, dynamite, firework, gun powdered, etc. • 5) Self-defence sprays: tear gas, pepper spray, and Mace, toxic fumes, etc.

  • 11- Are there any items prohibited by aviation security at the borders of Iran?

    Yes. Here is a list of prohibited items at the borders of Iran: 1) All types of antiques: original artworks including Persian painting (miniature) and calligraphy artworks; all music instruments and artworks, which are associated as the part of Iran’s cultural heritage 2) unauthorized holy Quran: Quran version published without conformation of Iran’s Supervisory Council of Publishing and Distributing Quran, 3) 35mm movie films, valued precious stones 4) Carpets and rugs, which are considered as Iran’s cultural heritage with historic records 5) Handwoven carpets larger than two square meters 6) Travellers to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Syria are not allowed to take carpets, pistachio, nuts, and saffron 7) All types of abused drugs including marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy (violators will be prosecuted) 8) Foreign currencies exceed 5,000 U.S. dollars and gold coins 9) All kinds of alcoholic drink (violators will be prosecuted) 10) Relevant documentation/certification of pets will be requested by the quarantine department of the airport.   • Visa FAQ

  • 1- How long does it take to process Iran's visa application?

    Normally it takes 3 to 5 working days to get visa authorization code for those eligible for Visa on arrival, however for US, UK and Canada passport holders, visa processing may take 30 to 45 working days. Worth mentioning that from 15th March till 28th March due to Iranian new year holidays, Iranian visa processing may take longer time by MFA. Please take this period into consideration.

  • 2- What are the fees for applying E-Visa on Exotigo?

    Iran online visa application processing costs 15 EUR per person for all nationalities. Price for child, adult and infants are the same. Please take it to the considerations that visa processing fee is different from entrance fee (Stamp fee) which government (Or Iranian embassies / consular) charges each traveler depends on their nationalities. For UK, USA and Canada passport holders, visa processing costs 35 EUR.

  • 3- What is Iran E-Visa?

    Iran E-Visa or Iran visa authorization code is meant to make getting visa easier and risk-free especially for tourists. Iranian MFA launched E-Visa service in early 2017 to facilitate submitting Iran visa. By applying Iran E-Visa, you will get an 18-digit authorization code. Having this code means your visa is already approved and you just need to go embassy (in case you are not eligible for visa on arrival) or Iran airports (in case you are eligible for visa on arrival) to pick up the visa.

  • 4- Which international airports in Iran provide visa on arrival?

    Iranian visa services upon arrival to the airports are available in Isfahan International Airport (IFN), Kish International Airport (Kish Island), Mashhad International Airport (MHD), Dayrestan Airport (Qeshm Island), Shiraz International Airport (SYZ), Tabriz International Airport (TBZ) and Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA).

  • 5- Do I need a travel visa for Iran?

    All visitors to Iran must obtain a visa from one of the Iranian embassies or international airports in Iran, unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries.

  • 7- What are visa requirements for US, UK and Canada citizens?

    US, UK and Canada passport holders are valid for travel to Iran but all travelers need to get a tourist visa before arrival. All US, UK, and Canada citizens should book hotels and set English language guide (Authorized from Iranian foreign ministry) before applying for the visa (We will take care of this part). It’s necessary to show a full itinerary with all details to the Iranian foreign ministry. The procedure takes a minimum of 30 to 45 days, Read more.

  • 8- Can I get a double-entry visa in Iran?

    Basically anyone can apply for single or double entry tourist visa to Iran. But MFA make final decision about single and double entry tourist visa. By the way, can get only single entry visa but you can re-apply or extend your visa after your first trip to Iran.

  • 9- How long is Iran visa valid?

    Iranian tourist visa is valid for 3 months and you can stay maximum 30 days. Don't forget that you can extend your visa while you are in Iran for extra 30 days.

  • 10- Can I extend my visa in Iran?

    Yes, you can. Iranian tourist visa extensions must be filed at least one week in advance of the expiration date. you can attend at immigration office center in Iran's main cities and apply for visa extensions.

  • 11- What documents do I need to apply for Iran tourist visa?

    In order to apply for Iranian tourist visa, you should fill out online visa application form, submit the scan of passport (high quality) and a personal photo. For UK, USA and Canada passport holders, some extra documents are needed. For more details, please contact our visa experts via [email protected].

  • 12- Is it possible my Iran visa get rejected?

    Very unlikely! According to our statistics, only less than 5% of applicants may get rejected. The Australians, and New Zealand European citizens (except UK citizens) gets Iran visa in more than 97% cases. U.S. and UK citizens gets visa a bit less than 90%.   • 13- How long in advance shall I apply for my Iran visa?

    We suggest the passport holders who are eligible for visa on arrival (VOA) applying two weeks in advance. For US, UK and Canada citizens the processing time is more than usual, so it is better to apply for your visa two months in advance.

  • 14- My country has no Iran embassy/consulate: how do I get a visa?

    First, check the possibility of getting visa on arrival in Iran. If your country is not on the list for getting VOA in Iran, then you can choose a nearby country, where there is an Iran embassy. Iran does not have an embassy in some countries, however, you may find an Iran consulate or "interest section of Iran" which do visa-related tasks in that country.

  • 15- Which former nationality does affect getting Iran visa?

    Other than ex-Israeli nationality, all other former nationalities do not affect Iran visa process.

    16- Can I visit Iran after visiting Israel?

    Neither Iran nor Israel recently does not stamp the passport anymore, and they will give an entry visa on a piece of paper. that’s for facilitating the incoming tourist procedure on borders for both countries.

    For those tourists who already visited Israel and have an Israeli stamp on their passport, although there are no official rules in Iran that the visa will be rejected, we highly recommend that apply your Iran visa authorization code through one of the authorized Iranian travel agency in advance and ensure about the result before traveling Iran.

  • 17- Shall I register my fingerprints for visa applications after getting my authorization code from Exotigo?

    No, you don't need to register your fingerprint before/after getting an authorization code. You can also get your visa on arrival without going to Iran embassy in your country.

  • Car Rental & Transfer FAQ

  • 1- I have an online car reservation, how can I receive booking confirmation?

    All on-line bookings of car rental services will generate a confirmation number assigned by the car rental firm. Please take a copy of your booking confirmation email with you for check in. Exotigo.com does not issue any vouchers to confirm car rental reservations.

  • 2- What is car hire age requirements in Iran?

    In Iran, most car rental companies have a minimum age of 18 or above. Drivers need to have a valid driver’s license.

  • 3- How do I pay for a rental car?

    Generally, a credit card or cash is required to secure a car. Many car rental companies will not accept a Debit card for payment or 3rd party credit cards as payment. Check with the individual car company for their policies. All rates are quoted and guaranteed in EUR.

  • 4- What do I need to pick up a car?

    Print or email the online confirmation from Exotigo.com. This confirmation number from the car rental company is all that is needed, other than a valid driver's license and a major credit card. We do not recommend using debit-cards to pay for car rentals.

  • 5- What does the loss/damage waiver cover?

    Covers damages to the hired vehicle and its belongings caused by accident or theft up to a predefined amount. This insurance is mandatory and is included in the quoted rate. In case of accident or theft, the driver may be liable to pay the excess amount equal to 20% of the damage cost which is determined by the insurance company. In case of total loss, maximum amount which hirer should pay is equal to 20% of the car value.

  • 6- What is the mileage policy?

    Most of our Rental agencies provide cars with unlimited mileage otherwise It's 300 km per day. In car description you can see if it is unlimited mileage or not.

  • 7- Can I rent a car at one location and return it to another?

    Yes; If there is a station in your destination place (drop-off fee may apply).

  • 8- When and how I will receive my deposit?

    If returning after hours when a booth is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until the satisfactory check-in the next business day.

  • 11- Can I ask for an Official Receipt?

    For all car rentals, We will provide official receipts. Tourists; companies and agents can always ask for an official receipt. It can be used to legally minimize or decrease tax payable.

  • 1- Can I change/modify my itinerary?

    Yes you can! Our travel experts suggest attractions in each city but as a private tour, you can choose your personal favourite attractions and activities. There is no need for any prior notice but in case you want to add extra days or visit other cities please inform the support team in advance.

  • 2- Can I have more free time

    Yes. In private tour you have the choice to adjust your free time. You are free to choose your attractions and activities. So feel free to ask for more time you wish!

  • 3- Can I cancel some activities/attractions that I am not interested in?

    Sure. You are free to choose between available activities and attractions. You can replace your favourite ones with those that you are not interested in.

  • 4- How long before a trip should I book?

    In high season months like April, May, September, and October hotels, tours and driver guides will be sold out very soon. Hence, it is better to book your trip as soon as you can.

  • 5- Which payment methods do you accept? Can we pay on arrival?

    Bank payment and debit/credit card payment are accepted. Applying for some certain tours, you can pay a prepayment and pay the rest in cash on your arrival.

  • 6- Is it possible to book this trip with some of my friends?

    100% Our private tours are held between one person to large groups. You can even choose your fellow travellers by scrolling down 'travellers' tab at the right side of the page.

  • 7- In which languages the private tours are conducted?

  • 9- Do I need a visa to travel to Iran?

  • Bus FAQ

  • 1- Standard and VIP buses in Iran, what is the difference?

    Generally two kinds of services are provided by Iranian bus companies, standard and VIP buses. As its name suggest, the VIP buses are more convenient with spacious seats and some other facilities. Some buses are served you with some chocolates, biscuits and bottled water as well. However the Iranian buses are not equipped with toilets but do not worry! The drivers stop in rest areas on the road where you have access to public toilets. You can also buy food and snacks at these places.

  • 2- How safe is it to travel by bus in Iran?

    It is safe to travel by bus across Iran due to strict traffic laws. Always keep your seat belt fastened. The traffic police and police patrol in roads constantly check the bus drivers and they should inform the traffic police stations on their way about the time of departure and arrival. Besides, you can report police any illegal speed at the stops.

  • 3- How far in advance can I book my bus ticket?

    One month in advance. The exact timetable for buses are available one month earlier and you can book for your favourite destination.

  • 4- Which documents shall I have to get on the bus?

    As a foreign traveller, it is always good to carry your passport. However, you only need your ticket to get on board on the bus.

  • 5- How can I cancel ticket I have booked for bus?

    Email us on [email protected] 24 hours before departure time.

  • 6- Is it possible to change my seat at bus after booking?

    Yes. You should ask the assistant driver on the bus. However remember that in Iran, women are not allowed to seat on the very front seats at the bus. Besides, sitting of a strange man and woman beside each other on a row is not acceptable in most cases.

  • 7- What am I allowed to bring on a bus?

    You can carry a suitcase with you on a bus and you should hand it to the assistant driver to put it in the booth. It is wise to put your valuables in a small bag that you can bring with you on board. If you want to carry a very large luggage or some unusual things like a bike or a pet, let the bus company knows about it since you may have to pay extra fee.

  • 8- Does the bus have facilities for disabled/handicapped individuals?

    No, just few private buses in Iran are disabled-friendly. Buses in Iran usually have three to four doorsteps and are not equipped with special facilities for the disabled travellers.
