Despite having its own difficulties, traveling with children and diving into their world can be one of the most amazing experiences of a lifetime. During this 12-day family tour package around Iran, we tried to include as many fun activities as possible to make it enjoyable for a family traveling with their small kids. In this family adventure holiday, we will start our trip from the capital city, Tehran and drive all the way to Shiraz with stops in the main cities of Kashan, Isfahan and Yazd.

While in Tehran, we will explore the main highlights of the downtown along with the uptown, including the National Museum of Iran, Golestan Palace, Tehran Grand Bazaar, Saadabad Palace Complex, and Tajrish Bazaar.

All the trip is designed in a way to include activities for children so that they will both have the chance to have fun and get to know the culture of the country they are visiting. To be more specific, in Tehran they can choose their favorite among some options we provide which are the indoor amusement park of Sarzamin-e Ajayeb (meaning Wonder Land), Tehran Book Garden, Museum of Iranian Dolls and Culture and Jurassic Park. In Kashan, we will visit the Puppet Museum House and in Isfahan, we will go to the wonderful Birds Garden and Isfahan Aquarium with all their amazing species of birds and fish. Late on, we will spend about a day in the central desert of Iran so that they can have the opportunity to enjoy themselves under the sunny sky. They will also enjoy visiting the Persian Gardens with all their lovely atmosphere.

Another amazing thing about this family tour to Iran is visiting the Red Village of Abyaneh where the residents preserved the lifestyle, culture, architecture and costumes of their ancestors to a great amount.

Altogether, this tour package will provide the chance for both children and adults participating, to not just enjoy and have fun in their Iran trip but also have a deep exploration of the country.

Itinerary

Day 1

Tehran

Upon arrival at the IKA airport, your guide will meet you at the airport and assist you in your transfer to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, you have the opportunity to explore the city afterward. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Tehran.

Day 2

Tehran

After having the breakfast, the city tour of the capital city of Tehran will start. The morning includes visiting of the National Museum and the Golestan Palace. After having lunch, we will have a short stroll in Tehran Grand Bazaar. In the afternoon, we will head to a big modern shopping mall in the north-west Tehran, so that kids can spend some time in the indoor amusement park of Sarzamin-e Ajayeb (literally meaning Wonder Land)/Or another option is arranging a visit to the Museum of Iranian Dolls and Culture along with spending some time in Tehran Book Garden where there are a range of cultural activities for the kids. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Tehran.

Day 3

Tehran

City tour of northern Tehran which is considered the uptown to visit the Saadabad Palace Complex and Tajrish Bazaar. After having lunch, we will visit Jurassic Park, a theme park with a variety of dinosaur and insect sculptures in the north-west of the city. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Tehran.

Day 4

Tehran/Kashan

After checking out of the hotel, we will drive to Kashan (a distance of about 250 km. Upon arrival we will visit the Tabatabaei House, belonging to an affluent merchant in Qajar era, Agha Bozorg Mosque and then the Puppet Museum House. Overnight will be in a lovely traditional hotel in Kashan.

Day 5

Kashan/Isfahan

After having our breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we will head to the Fin Garden as an example of a Persian Garden surrounded by desert. Then move on to Isfahan (a distance of about 210 km) with an en route visit of the Abyaneh Village known as the Red Village. Arriving in Isfahan, we will check into our hotel. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Isfahan.

Day 6

Isfahan

City tour of Isfahan visiting the Chehel Sotoun Palace, Vank Cathedral in the Armenian district of Isfahan known as Julfa. After having lunch, we will head to the Birds Garden to let the children enjoy some time in a beautiful garden and get to know the different species birds are kept there. Arriving back, we will have a stroll in the old bridge of Si-o Se Pol. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Isfahan.

Day 7

Isfahan

Full day city tour of Isfahan visiting the Naghsh-e Jahan Square with the attractions it’s surrounded by including Ali Qapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Imam Mosque and Qeysarie Bazaar, plus having some time to explore the bazaar and do some shopping. Later on, we will visit the Isfahan Aquarium, a large aquarium with a duck pond and a variety of water life. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Isfahan.

Day 8

Isfahan/Yazd

Drive to Yazd, the city of mud-brick houses (distance of 325 km) after checking out of the hotel, en route we will stop at the desert to let the kids enjoy their time in the warmth of the central desert of Iran. They can have camel riding if they wish. Arrive in Yazd in the early evening and check into the hotel. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Yazd.

Day 9

Yazd

City tour of Yazd visiting the Towers of Silence, Zoroastrian Fire Temple and Dowlat Abad Garden. Later on, we will drive to the old district of the city (known as Fahadan) to have lunch and pay a visit to the Jame Mosque of Yazd and the old district itself. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Yazd.

Day 10

Yazd/Shiraz

Drive to Shiraz (a distance of about 495 km) after checking out of the hotel. We will have a stop at Pasargadae to have lunch and visit the tomb of Cyrus the Great who is the first king established the greatest emperor of the world. Arrive in the city of bitter orange blossoms and check into the hotel. Overnight in a 4-star hotel in Shiraz.

Day 11

Shiraz

In the early morning, we will visit the amazing Pink Mosque to have the suitable daylight for taking beautiful photos. Later on, we will head to the city center to visit the Eram Garden, Vakil Complex and Karimkhan Citadel. In the late afternoon, we pay a visit to the Tombs of Hafiz and Sa’adi, well-known Iranian poets. Overnight in 4-star hotel in Shiraz.

Day 12

Shiraz

Morning excursion to Marvdasht to visit Persepolis and Necropolis of Naqsh-e Rustam in a distance of about 60 km in the suburbs of Shiraz. Having our lunch, we will drive back to Shiraz and take a rest. Depending on the time of your international flight, you will have a departure transfer to the international airport in Shiraz.

The tour starts in Tehran by picking you up from the IKA airport and finishes in Shiraz by drop off at Shiraz international airport.

Iran travelling with kids, two weeks

If you looking for a kid fee for an Iran tour package, probably this tour would be your choice. they consider 9 and below 9 as kids and the rate is cheaper than adults. Besides the itinerary is planned to have some children's activities during the tour like Jurassic park in Tehran.

Iran 12 days tour

Although they mentioned it's suitable tour for family, I decided to book this tour as the duration of the tour (12 days) was quite match with , my off days, So I do not miss anything and I was recommended to join with someone else as the tour price dropped so much. we started this trip in a group of three, two passengers and one tour guide. all so friendly and well-behavior. Family friendly tour

Great tour package. Group consists of only a fellow tourist from USA, my friend and my family. It started with beauty of Tehran and end in awesome Shiraz! when it comes to Iran There is distinct difference in terms of buildings, palaces, mosques and greens on both sides. it is confusing how can they have all these beauties at same place. Thank you

Iran Family tour

As a group of four with two kids, I was looking for a private tour to visit Iran. After searching the web I called Exotigo and they found the best tour for me. My tour guide was Sina, he was so profesional!, he picked me up at the airport with a driver and made my short visit a very good experience. He was always very respectful with a very good sense of humor.
