Mahinestan Raheb Traditional
Hotel, Kashan.
Kashan is famous for its traditional houses with magnificent architecture. These
houses with unique architecture provide an opportunity for us to experience
living in an aristocratic home. Undoubtedly one of the wonders of the
architecture of the magnificent home is the Mahinestan Raheb Hotel. This house
was built during the Qajar era (1789-1925) and the Pahlavi (1925-1941), which is
located in the center of Darb-e-Baagh district.
Mahinestan Raheb Hotel consists of three separate courtyards, which are called
Andaruni (interior yard), Biruni (exterior yard), and Khadameh yard (servants’
yard). The house has an original Iranian architecture, and this notable
architecture includes two Sardab (cellar), Shahneshin (dining room), Hashti
Vorudi (entrance hall), Tabestani Iwan (summer porch), Zemestani Iwan (winter
porch), and Badgir (wind catcher).
