The Persian carpet is an inseparable element when talking about Iran and its culture. Carpets are among the most valuable and luxurious handicrafts in Iran and tourists usually get their piece while they are visiting the country. Different materials are used to create these artworks from which we can mention cotton, wool or silk. During this tour, we will visit a carpet weaving workshop where we experience the total process of making a Persian Carpet.

The oldest carpet found in the country until now belongs to the 5th century BC. The hand-knotted Persian Carpets are diverse in type and value. Their value is mostly defined by their design, colors, history and style and some of them will take years to get woven. During this unique experience, we will learn about the patterns and designs used in Isfahan carpets along with taking part in its weaving. We start from the very early step which is preparing and coloring the materials, called Rang-razi to sit and weaving and finally, polishing the hand-made carpet.

The Persian Carpet weaving experience is a great chance to understand all the things about these world-known carpets while enjoying the feeling of getting engaged and learning how to knit them.

Tour duration is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
