Iran
Iran is one of the top prospective birding destinations for anyone looking for a unique experience. Birdwatchers have a strong desire to see endemic and rare species. A high degree of climatic variability is a crucial component in the formation of Iran's diverse ecosystems and the provision of enormous wildlife sanctuaries for thousands of bird species. As we go from north to south, we encounter several climate zones. More over half of Iran's plateau is covered by desert and semi-arid areas. A third of Iran is mountainous, with a minor portion of the country made up of fertile plains.
During the bird migration season, Iran is home to around 540 species of birds, 340 of which are migratory birds, making it one of the top sites for birding with year-round opportunities. Birds such as the Iranian Ground-jay, Caspian Snowcock, Sind Woodpecker, White-throated Robin, and others can be found in Iran. Only the Ground-jay can be found in Iran.
This five-day adventure begins in Tehran. You'll travel through the deserts of central Iran and the plains of the magnificent Touran National Park in search of uncommon birds and mammals such as the Persian Onager and Asiatic Cheetah. Our tour will transport you safely and cheerfully through the breathtaking surroundings of Ghale Bala Village and Reza Abad. Your lodging will put you right in the middle of the activity.
