The Metropolitan of Tehran with its wide diversity in culture from downtown to uptown has a lot to offer for the ones who are eager to discover the city. During this one-day tour in the northern part of Tehran, we will spend some time in Darband where is famous for its pleasant weather and natural beauties and also is a place that Tehranis spend their leisure time. While having a mountainous hiking trail, we will see lots of local stores selling different kinds of street food based on the season and loads of tea houses/restaurants on every corner.

Getting back down to the city, we will visit the Saadabad Palace Complex consisting of two main palaces of the White Palace and the Green Palace, some other small palaces and buildings which turned into museums after the Iran revolution in 1979 plus some gorgeous gardens. The main construction was built by Qajar dynasty and later on redesigned and completed by Pahlavis (1925-1979). The complex has a lot to offer which needs a one-week visit if you want to see the whole!

The next destination after lunch will be another lovely leisure-time place of the locals known as Bagh Ferdows. The area contains a splendid small beautiful building as the Cinema Museum located in the center of a lovely garden, cafes, a bookstore, and a small movie theater. You can see lots of young artists and teenagers hanging out in the neighborhood.

The last part of this one-day tour of uptown Tehran belongs to Tajrish, a well-known roundabout and its neighborhood consisting of Imamzadeh Saleh Shrine and Tajrish Bazaar. You can witness people from different ages, ethnicities and backgrounds visiting the holy shrine to show their respect and pray. And in Tajrish Bazaar we will see lots of locals doing their everyday shopping in one of the most famous bazaars in the city.

This tour will give you a deep understanding of the everyday life of locals living in Tehran by visiting the natural and cultural places in the northern part of the city.
