Overview
During this one-day excursion from the capital of Iran, we will visit the ancient and historic city of Rey, located 26 kilometers in southern Tehran. The city is famous for its ancient hills, holy shrines and its old fire temple.
During the old times, when Rey was a developed city and the capital (of Parthian and Seljuk Empires), Tehran used to be a distant village in its outskirts. The first human traces of settlement in the area dates back to the Neolithic era.
In this one-day tour, we will visit the old monuments of Gebri Castle (a 2000-year-old castle in Rey) and Chshmeh Ali (Spring of Ali), an underground mineral spring that pours into an open-air pool which is a recreational place for the habitants of the capital at the moment. Other places to be visited are an old tower known as the Tomb of the Seljuk Sultan Tugrul Bey and the holy amazing shrine of Bibi Shehr-Bano.
Tour duration is from 6:30 am to 9:00 pm.

The default tour-guide for the tour is English-speaking. However, upon your request we can check the possibility to have a tour guide in another language.
Is it possible to book this trip with some of my friends?

Rey excursion
It was great to walk through all great monuments of Rey and hear about their history. This city is full of contrasts and hidden gems.

Tehran Tour
We had one more extra day in Tehran so we decided to spend it in less traffic area, as Tehran is jam everywhere at rush-hour. The tour was average generally but the good thing was friendly meet-up we had during this tour. hospitable and friendly behavior everywhere.
