Ascending to the world’s highest mountains is loved by climbers all around the globe and this tour gives you the chance to climb Damavand mountain with the help of a professional mountain guide. With a height of 5610m, mount Damavand is considered the highest mountain in the Middle East and many climbers wish to ascend it. Located in northern Iran, Mt Damavand is close to the capital city of Tehran and in the southern lands of the Caspian Sea, in the central part of Alborz Mountain Ranges. The temperature in the higher altitudes can reach minus 60 degrees centigrade in winter. The best time to climb Damavand to the summit in summer and early fall, however February, March and April are not good times due to sudden storms and much colder weather.
Mount Damavand is the symbol of stability among Iranians and while climbing, you can enjoy the amazing scenery of the neighborhood from the top.
During this 3-day tour to climb Damavand, we will move from Tehran to get to Polour Village in the mountainous area of Alborz mountain ranges. In early spring, the area is filled with wildflowers and trees in blossoms. After having our lunch close to the wonderful nature of the area, we will climb up for about 6 hours to get to the third Bargah Shelter, about 4200 meters above sea level. We will camp there to have a rest and get ready for ascending the summit on the next day. On the second day, after hiking on moderate to high slopes for 6 hours we will get to the top of Damavand. While on top, we have some time to enjoy our achievement and take some memorable photos. Later on, we will climb down to a shelter to spend the overnight. The 3rd day is the day of finishing our climbing and get back to the metropolitan of Tehran.
