This three-week tour is a great chance to discover many cultural and natural attractions throughout the country from the northern to the western, southern and central Iran. As some of the truly unique experiences of this trip will be the exploration of the Caviar Aquaculture Farm in the north, Saffron Farm and Pistachio gardens in central Iran.
Starting from Tehran and visiting the highlights of the capital, we will drive to the northern parts of the country. Apart from getting familiar with the lifestyle and amazing cuisine of the area, we will visit the spectacular village of Masouleh and enjoy the green landscapes all around northern Iran. Driving to north-western Iran, we will visit Ardebil and Tabriz with hot natural spas in Sarein and the breathtaking rocky village of Kandovan close to Tabriz.
Later on, driving towards the southern parts of the country we will visit the cities of Takab, Hamedan, Zanjan, Kermanshah and get to Shushtar ancient town. Except for the cultural intangible experiences, there are some great highlights of the country en route, including Ali Sadr Cave, Takht-e Soleyman (Throne of Solomon), Zanjan Anthropology Museum, Soltanieh Dome, Bisotun Inscriptions and Taq-e Bostan rock reliefs.
In the southern part, we will visit the ancient cities of Shushtar and Susa and drive to Shiraz, the world-known city for its greatest poets Hafiz and Saadi. Staying in Shiraz for 3 nights, we have the chance to explore the city center and suburbs of the splendid Shiraz.
The tour will continue to central Iran and the cities of Kerman, Yazd and Isfahan with all their specific attractions including Persian Gardens, citadels, mosques, bazaars, palaces and amazing villages. The final spot will be the town of Kashan, famous for its historical houses belonging to Qajar era and well-known merchants of then.
During this 22-day tour, the total number of 14 UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the country will be visited apart from all the other cultural and natural attractions. One of the most exquisite highlights will be the variety in lifestyle, cuisine and landscapes throughout the whole trip.
