Overview

This free walking tour is an opportunity to discover contemporary Tehran and the highlights of the downtown. Walking along the city’s streets built in the late 19th and early 20th century, we will not just stop by the highlights, but also explore the hidden unique places en-route. The whole journey will make us familiar with the modernization process of metropolitan Tehran.

As one of the most important streets of contemporary Tehran, Si-e Tir street is the crossroad of religions and cultures. Along the street, we can see holy constructions for different beliefs from Jews and Zoroastrians to Christians and Muslims which is a complete reflection of the peacekeeping spirit of Iranians. Also, there are different museums including the National Museum of Iran and the Glassware and Ceramics Museum.

Tehran walking tour

5 Euro tips is the minimum thing I could afford to my great guide. I called him back the day after that and invite him for a dinner. Sometimes local will affect deeply to us. Thanks Amir

Tehran free walking tour

I spent 3 hours with a bunch of Tehranian teenagers and they made me surprised as they are quite modern in terms of facility and lifestyle. totally different from stereotypes and amazing experiences.
