Overview

Kashan and the small towns and villages in its outskirts are famous for their high-quality rosewater, produced every year in spring. During this seasonal 1-day excursion to Niasar, we will have the chance to get deep into the whole process of rosewater making. Picking up the organic fresh roses in the field by the accompany of the locals, and then traveling to their workshops to make that pure rosewater used for different purposes, from food to cosmetics industry.

Arriving in Niasar, we will join a local family when they are in their endless field of pink roses to pick the flowers up. While on the tour, we will get familiar with the historical stories and traditions behind the customs of rosewater making. Then, they will move the heavy pots of roses to their workshops to turn them into the final product. We will have the opportunity to get engaged in rosewater distillation and see the process from the very close.

After having our lunch, we will explore the natural and cultural beauties of Niasar, including the Waterfall, the Cave and the Fire Temple. The whole off-the-beaten-track experience will get you familiar with local life in a small historic town and how they prepare one of the most famous souvenirs of Iran.

Do not miss this amazing experience if you are visiting the country in May! And be noted that the best time to participate in this experience is in May.

Rose water Festival

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Iran! First, we throughly enjoyed the fact that our party of 4, was the only one on this tour. We travelled in style in a Mercedes Mini-van. It was super clean, comfortable, and we all had space to spread out. Parviz was our tour guide for all day long! He is a wealth of information and you can just tell he loves what he does! We learned so much about Rose water- I will never again view a glass of Rose water the same! We felt very well taken care of and they really did seem to strive to provide a wonderful experience for us! I would highly recommend this tour! A must if visiting this region!

Kashan tour

They made rosewater in their workshop which was actually a cosy and beautiful traditional home. Seems this business was a family business and the whole family members assigned to take over a part of this process. Amazing experience
